Author : Preethi Shenoy
Genre : Fiction
This is the second book of Preethi Shenoy which I happened to read a few days ago. The author describes this story as a story of love, hope and how determination can overcome even destiny.
Basically, the book brings awareness among the readers about a mental condition called Bipolar disorder that causes unusual shifts in mood, energy, activity levels and the ability to carry out day-to-day tasks. The various stages of this disorder has been penned very sensitively throughout. Once I started flowing with the story, somewhere inside I got disturbed by the sufferings of the protagonist in the story. Now this is where I believe, the author wins.
Ankita Sharma is a smart, intelligent and good looking 21 year old girl. Like any other youngsters of her age, she too had many dreams for her college life. She got admission in one of the very well known MBA colleges of Bombay. Her parents were very proud of her. But six months later she was found in a mental hospital waiting for her turn to meet the psychiatrist. Now, to know why did Ankita lose her mental balance and how did she get over it, you need to give a look into her story.
I rated this book 5/5. The effort author has put in this book is really worth appreciation. She had done detailed research on Bipolar disorder before writing this book

So i got confused whether i am over rating the book !!! But then i decided not to read too many reviews. My read and my opinion should matter . So i whole heartedly rated it 5

Yeah she certainly did.
I read it some 5 years back but did not find it interesting. One cup coffee and two pieces of cake was slightly better.
There are many people who didnot like it. My reason for liking is the way she explained the disorder. It gets boring when something is explained too much. Thats why I believe many people didnot like it. But I was thinking how can someone imagine so much of things related to a disease. I just felt great about the effort she had put in understanding the symptoms of a disease and explaining it.
The one you cannot have and one more, don’t remember the name though.
oh i see 🙂
Read it almost 6 years back or so and liked it back then. It was nice and made me reach out for some other works of Preeti Shenoy too.
