What interested me to pick this Book was its ‘Bestseller’ tag. It had around 2500 reviews on Amazon. Also, the cover and blurb looked very promising. I went for the Kindle version of ‘Everyone has a story’ and here is a picture.
Meera, an HR manager by profession dreams of becoming an Author. At weekends she goes to the cafe ‘Coffee and Us’ where many Authors gather and give inspiring talks. Her friend Kabir, the manager of the cafe very well knew about her dream.
One day at the authors’ meet, a famous author asked the audience about their story and what they wanted from life. Meera said she wanted to be an author like him. After she finished, the author pointed towards a man sitting behind her for an answer. He was Vivaan. Vivaan, an assistant branch manager at Citibank wanted to travel the world having no one around to bother him. Now Vivaan’s words gave Meera a story idea for her dream book. She wanted to know more about Vivaan.
When she finally approached Vivaan for his story, he tells Meera why don’t she try writing Kabir’s story. And surprisingly she finds that Kabir did had a story to tell. It was about himself and Nisha. He also had a dream for his life, which he shared with Meera and Vivaan.
The plot sounds interesting, right?
Now, whose story Meera must have written in her book? Did Vivaan fulfill his dreams? What was Kabir’s story?

My Review
I should say, the author or her team has been very successful in drawing a great marketing strategy for this book. Otherwise, it is a very rare case where debut novels turn best sellers.
I would recommend this book as a travel read. It is a light read with simple language. There is nothing extraordinary in the story. It is simply meant to entertain the reader for a few hours. Half of the book was a quick page-turner. Then it got a little boring at a slow pace. The ending was quite predictable.
I have mixed feelings about this book. I enjoyed reading it but at the same time, I would say, the plot was very dramatic. Maybe I did not find anything relatable in the whole story. Hence I would suggest you a Second Opinion about this book.
